Welcome to the first newsletter of 2026 from Wineraks, 8 St Swithin Street, Aberdeen, AB10 6XD.
At Wineraks, we take pride in championing producers who combine heritage, craftsmanship and a deep sense of place.
Each month, we highlight a winery whose wines truly deserve a place in your cellar.
This February, we turn our attention to one of Montalcino's most historic families, whose philosophy of tradition,
elegance and absolute quality has shaped generations of exceptional wines.
This Month's Producer:
MARCHESATO DEGLI ALERAMICI
Descending from Casato degli Aleramici with more than 1000 years of history, the family produces and commercializes
the finest wines of Montalcino from 1986, with excellent qualitative results recognised internationally by leading
critics and industry guides.
Over the years the Fedriani family has sealed important ties and collaborations with high-profile brands. The activity
began in the early 80s in the "Il Galampio" winery. Eng. Giacomo Fedriani, thanks to his love for Montalcino,
Val d'Orcia and the excellent wines, established the foundations of the production and image philosophy:
"Tradition, Elegance, Absolute Quality".
Today Filippo Fedriani and his wife Emma carry on the business's philosophy with dedication and professionalism.
They select, from small high quality producers of Montalcino, the best grapes from the finest wines: "Brunello,
Rosso di Montalcino and IGT Toscana Rosso e Bianco". They vinify the grapes in a modern cellar, in steel vats.
They then refine the wines in oak barrels up until bottling, with constant monitoring, care and attention.
The wines of the Marchesato degli Aleramici are classic and authentic. Therefore, they express the sensation of the land
and history of these places with unique microclimates, where the Sangiovese grape has found its maximum expression thanks
to the stubbornness of some locals (Ilcinesi) and beyond.
Warm regards,
The Wineraks Team
